(two) What I loved about June.

June is usually my favorite month. There's always something happening that makes it particularly appealing to me, so this year, I thought i'd share what made June of my 22nd year specifically lovely.

Well. I finished my daisy tattoo in June, which was quite the accomplishment, and at the same time, acquired 2 more tattoos, both beautifully done by someone special. Have a peek.

I also came to terms with the fact that i'm not going to take anyones crap, during the month of June. If you're going to be rude to me for no reason, or try to find something I did wrong just so you can be mad at me, then, go away. You're not welcome here.

Coffee. I really don't need to say anything else. The only thing I didn't cut out in my big "lets take away all the best stuff for my healths sake" moment. Coffee is far too good. I've started exploring different types of coffee along with different ways to make it. I have discovered blueberry coffee in this month, which was definitely a pleasant find. I try to stick to one cup a day, if that, but sometimes, I'll accidentally have too, and it's okay. The little things are worth enjoying.

The 1975. Aka, happy music :) Not only is "Settle Down" creeping it's way to the top my my playlists, but this band has made listening to music so much fun! Makes me feel like i'm in a good mood, even when i'm not, and that's a skill!

Running. I have a love hate relationship with running. I hate it so much while i'm doing it and i really just want it to be over, but once it's done, I can't describe a better feeling. I wish my lungs would let me run farther than I do, but I take what I can get, because I know it's making my body better.

Sara Hopkins and Marcus Johns. Only vine users understand. These guys, follow them. Sara is from my very own pretty state, and Marcus loves Jesus. Heck they both do. Win win.

Snapchat. I do this more than texting now a days. I know it sounds idiotic and a lot of people don't get it, but I use snapchat about equally with Instagram, which is my number one. But like I told Samantha today, it brings life to texting. You get to see what that person looks like or what they're doing, for 10 seconds, brings texting to a 3 dimensional level in my eyes I guess.

Lace Curtains.  Out of nowhere, I wanted my livingroom brighter, so I spend a whopping 8 dollars on lace curtains to hang, and as boring and uninteresting as it sounds, I hung them and they changed the room completely. It's so light, airy, and pretty in here now, I actually don't mind it. It helps it look clean, and it's a step in the right direction to getting our home to be the best it can be. Plus, lace is gorgeous.

Looking for Alaska / Audiobooks. Audiobooks have slowly become my thing toward the end of this month. Without them, I wouldn't have finished TFIOS before it came out. I recently listened to John Green's best book (in my humble opinion of course) "Looking for Alaska". This book is a little on the mature side, and definitely won't be PG13 when it comes out as a movie, IF they do it right. But that's okay because this book is a beautiful tragedy, which seems to be a pattern in books by John Green. After I finished this book, I was asked a couple of times if it was just like TFIOS with different people and I quickly said no. It's not, it's nothing like it. A lot more "adult" situations happen, different views of death, and a different ending with a more defined beauty. Maybe i'll post a review, equipped with spoilers of Looking for Alaska in a later post. I've been thinking on it. We'll see.

I know this is just a long post about things I'm sure y'all don't care about, but if any of you do, thanks for reading. I've been told my writing seems forced, and that's a mask I want to overcome, because I don't feel that way. When I write, even when it's about meaningless things, the words flow onto the keyboard with such ease, the fact that it seems like i'm pushing it, is scary, and saddening. So like I said, if you read my words, thanks for sticking with me. Criticize me if you'd like, or inspire me on something else to write. I'm open to suggestions.
